Douglas, WY- August 16, 2025- The Miss Rodeo Wyoming Association is proud to announce Kate Budge (Miss Teton County Fair and Rodeo 2025) of Kelly, WY was crowned Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2026 at the Wyoming State Fair in Douglas on August 14, 2025. Dusty Miller, Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2025 was on hand for the crowning. Kate was joined by Abigail Marcott (Miss Hell On Wheels Rodeo 2025) from Cheyenne, WY and Tanner Rogers (Miss Laramie Jubilee 2025) from Laramie, WY. The judges included Nyla Bristow (Greeley, CO), Chris Lemke (Las Vegas, NV), and Terryl Lancaster (Smoot, WY).
The pageant started on August 11th and concluded on August 14th. They were judged in multiple categories including horsemanship, personality, and appearance. Other category winners were also announced during the crowning ceremony.

Kate Budge proudly serves as the Teton County Fair and Rodeo Queen. The 20-year-old daughter of Joey and Nicole Budge is a 7th-generation Jackson Hole native from Kelly, Wyoming, with deep roots in the Cowboy State.
Kate’s passion for rodeo began early. From barrel racing and goat tail tying at Wyoming Junior Rodeos to showing cutting and reined cow horses, she is an accomplished horseman. She twice qualified for the National High School Finals Rodeo in Girls Cutting and the Queen Contest.
A devoted 4-H member for 11 years, Kate showed market beef, horse, and sewing projects, and was honored with the Cody Shervin Memorial Award—one of Teton County 4-H’s highest recognitions for leadership and integrity.
Kate recently earned her Associate of Science in Business and Accounting from Laramie County Community College with a 4.0 GPA while competing on the college’s Ranch Horse Team. She was named Outstanding Freshman and finished in the top ten at the Intercollegiate Stock Horse National Show. This fall, she will transfer to the University of Wyoming to pursue a double major in Business Economics and Finance.
Kate’s platform, Long Live Cowgirls, addresses the leading cause of death for Wyoming women: cardiovascular incidents. Partnering with the American Heart Association, she promotes CPR education and has helped teach the basics to over 100 Wyoming FFA members.
Outside the arena, Kate enjoys iced coffee, Sudoku, podcasts, and spending time outdoors paddleboarding, and fishing with her family. She proudly represents the strength and spirit of Wyoming cowgirls.
Kate will hold her coronation/fundraiser this fall before traveling to Las Vegas, NV to support Dusty, Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2025 as she competes for the title of Miss Rodeo America 2026. Additional information on her coronation/fundraiser, as well as Dusty’s Las Vegas Send-Off party will be released at a later date on the Miss Rodeo Wyoming website (http://www.missrodeowyoming.com/).

Miss Rodeo Wyoming symbolizes the youth of our state who wish to further promote the sport of professional rodeo and the great western way of life. Miss Rodeo Wyoming is the ideal western-type American girl who represents her state, believes in our western heritage and works hard in promoting these values during her travels. While spreading goodwill for her community, her state and the sport of rodeo, Miss Rodeo Wyoming garners experiences that lay a solid foundation for her future.
About Miss Rodeo Wyoming Association
The Miss Rodeo Wyoming Association was formed in 1977. The objective of the Association is to support, promote and guide the lady who reigns as Miss Rodeo Wyoming. The Association assists Miss Rodeo Wyoming in organizing a coronation benefit held in the hometown of each Miss Rodeo Wyoming to raise funds for her reigning year. A clinic for young ladies interested in rodeo queen competitions is also conducted by the Association. The coronation, clinic, and miscellaneous fund raisers conducted by the Association and sponsorship donations fund travel, wardrobe, and expenses for Miss Rodeo Wyoming. A scholarship fund has been established and each queen is awarded a scholarship upon the completion of her reign.
