Our Horses, Their Knowledge, Your Willingness To Learn
Other topics covered were knowledge, appearance, personality, etiquette, rodeo events, and interviews. PRCA rodeo announcer Derek Barton gave some great insider tips to the participants on media interviews. Former Miss Rodeo Wyoming Crystal (Rivers) Myers had her husband, Cody Myers, come and share his extensive knowledge of rodeo events. He didn't just bring in roughstock equipment in for demonstrations, but he had the girls get on the bucking machine to get a feel for what cowboys have to do in the rodeo arena. Safe to say, every girl made the whistle without falling off.
Sunday was full of more information on rodeo from Mountain States Circuit director and Laramie Jubilee Days Chairman, Guy Warpness. The girls then each participated in three timed interviews. The panels gave each girl feedback on what to work on and what they did well. Everyone then made it home safe with another Wyoming spring storm on its way. It was a great year and the Miss Rodeo Wyoming Association would like to thank the former Miss Rodeo Wyoming Titleholders, presenters, volunteers, and sponsors for making this clinic a success.
