August 19th, 2006 Crystal Rivers acted upon a dream that she has had since she was a small child, she obtained the title of Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2007. Crystal was honored to excel in the categories of horsemanship, personality, appearance, photogenic, speech, and knowledge.
Crystal Rivers origins flow deep in the heart Wyoming; much like the crystal rivers of Wyoming find their beginnings in this great state. This Wind River Valley native was raised in rural Riverton surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and a loving family and community. Crystal spent her childhood in the company of her sisters, her best friends, Amy and Lindsey and the never ending support of her loving parents Pam and Rod Rivers.
Crystal’s parents instilled a solid value system in their children and encouraged them to support one another in their endeavors. Like the expansive Wyoming sky Crystal’s parents allowed a never ending realm for Crystal and her sisters to discover their dreams.
It is this opportunity that Crystal would like to see the youth of our communities embrace a message of following your dreams to success. She has a passion for giving these youth the necessary tools available so they may also set goals and reach for their dreams. Crystal will strive to bring this message to schools throughout Wyoming and the states she will travel to during here reign as Miss Rodeo Wyoming. She believes that it is important for every child to have dreams and set goals for themselves.
Education has always been an integral part of Crystal life. 4-H, FFA, high school rodeo, yearbook, and Family Career and Community Leaders of America are activities that kept Crystal busy during her youth. Throughout her college career she was active in Horse Judging, Associated Student Government, and Block and Bridle and the Homecoming Committee. Crystal recently completed a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business. She plans to further her education by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Marketing.

Crystal’s passion for promoting the sport of rodeo started many years ago as she sat starry eyed watching a rodeo queen carry the American Flag around the arena. Crystal’s once upon a time dream is now her reality and she is proud of the opportunity to represent Rodeo as Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2007. Crystal has a passion and love for the ideals that make the western way of life a dream that captivates people across this great nation. Integrity, faith, hard work, and courage are the ideals that Crystal would like to convey as an advocate for the cowboys and cowgirls that work to preserve their traditions and heritage.
